The Great Smoky Mountains have so much to offer for motorcycle riders. There is information that can be helpful when bringing a motorcycle with you on your vacation in the Tennessee Great Smoky Mountains.Brush up on your Tennessee State Motorcycle Laws before enjoying the great rides our mountains withhold.

It is very important to ask about road conditions and weather when looking for lodging. Lodging can be located on higher elevation mountain roads or even off of gravel roads. A great location to stay is Pigeon Forge. Pigeon Forge is convenient to Gatlinburg, the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the Dragon, and the Maryville Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson. Pigeon Forge vacation lodging consists of: motels, condos, campgrounds, chalet, and cabin rentals.

Here are a couple of tips for motorcycle riders when coming into our area:
1. Ask your vacation rental company what they recommend for motorcycle riders.
2. Stay closer to town.
3. Preview lodging for your next trip. Make sure you and your rider are at the upmost comfort on your mountain rides.
4. Ask the local riders. They will be very helpful on what and where they enjoy their motorcycle in our area.

River Pointe Cottages in Pigeon Forge are located along the Little Pigeon River. Some of the cottages are built on stilts. The coverage of the cottage is a great place to park your motorcycle. Most of the cottages in that area offer their own private hot tub (which is great after a ride through the mountains) overlooking the Little Pigeon River.
